Find my route
This path running from west to east takes us through much of the old part of the Principality of Stavelot-Malmedy. The route is a fine example of the diversity of Wallonia and a great way to enter the East Cantons and visit the youngest area of Belgium.
The history of these paths is linked to the historical crossroads between the Luxembourg, Prussian and Belgian railways. Each one contributed to the development of these lines. And it’s just as well.
The RAVeLs and cycling routes, which are proving ever more popular, find an oasis of green here for soft travel, tourism and the rediscovery of barely forgotten flavours.
This stage takes you right into the East Cantons. You start from Waimes, the most eastern French-speaking commune.
First you follow a stretch of the famous Vennbahn (Line 48) between Waimes and Weywertz. After this, on the Line 45A RAVeL in Bütgenbach, you go alongside the reservoir lake of the Warche river and pass by the Worriken tourist and leisure centre.
